Course aims
This half day course is designed to provide banksmen or signallers with the required level of knowledge and skills regarding to carry out their
particular roles and responsibilities in a competent and safe manner.
The course has been developed and is delivered in a manner to provide attendees with a basic understanding of the relevant legal requirements
together with an appreciation of the particular risks involved with the movement of vehicles.
It contains a mixture of theory and practical work based around the risks and circumstances within the area of workplace transport, including
the full coverage of the recognised signs and signals used for controlling vehicle movements.
At the end of the course attendees will be require to sit a short theory test and undertake a practical skills assessment.
Companies considering this course must provide suitable premises and vehicles to enable the practical to be conducted safely.
