Use and Assessment of Display Screen Equipment
This 1 day course is intended for managers, safety officers or other employees, who are responsible for staff using display screen equipment (DSE) on a regular basis and
are therefore required to carry out the assessment of such workstations. It may also be suitable for the individual users of display screen equipment, if they are actually
required to carry out their own workstation self-assessments.
It provides delegates with an understanding of the relevant legal requirements under the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 combined with the
practical training that will ensure that they are competent to carry out workstation assessments.
The course will assist organisations in carrying out their own in-house assessments. Therefore avoiding the cost of employing consultants or purchasing expensive assessment
packages, together with the avoidance of future problems such as repetitive strain injuries connected with the use of DSE.
