Business Safety Systems have been successfully running the NEBOSH National General Certificate for over 10 years.
Due to our high standards we are an Accredited NEBOSH centre
During this period we have maintained an excellent relationship with NEBOSH and we are extremely proud of the outstanding level of success
achieved by our candidates. All our tutors are safety professionals with experience in the requirements of the qualification awarding body.
We are extremely proud of the high pass rate that we achieve for this course. BSS regularly achieves 10% above the NEBOSH national average
for both papers NGC1 and NGC2. For last year (2009), 50% of our delegates attained a distinction or a credit.
Who is it suitable for?
The NEBOSH National General Certificate is a qualification designed to help those with health and safety responsibilities (eg. managers,
supervisors and employee representatives) to discharge more effectively their organisational duties and functions. The NEBOSH National
General Certificate is not a qualification purely for health and safety specialists. No previous health and safety knowledge is required.
Course Duration
The course lasts 12 days including exams and practical, split as follows:
Week 1 Unit NGC1: The management of health and safety
Week 2 Unit NGC2: Controlling workplace hazards
Followed by the practical assessment (1 day) and written exams (1day)
Certification
For passing each unit, a unit certificate is issued.
Upon completion of both units and the practical assessment, a NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate award is issued.
Qualification
The NEBOSH National General Certificate meets the academic requirements for the Technician membership (TechIOSH) of the Institution
of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management
(IIRSM).
Venue
Either at our Stafford premises or at one of a number of selected locations around the UK. Courses can also be provided at your business
premises for a maximum of 12 delegates.
