The principle purpose of FORKLIFT-TRACK is to monitor the driving style of the forklift truck drivers. Therefore the reports
available that determine this are extensive yet simple to understand. There are two key areas:
1. Overall driving style reports
2. Bump reports
The overall driving style reports are based on data collected 100 times per second and can therefore capture an overall pattern
of driving behaviour for each driver. Driving style is determined by monitoring the degree of g (acceleration) in both forwards
and reverse direction and lateral acceleration (ie during cornering). If a drivers report shows low levels of g in these axes,
this is indicative of a responsible, non-aggressive driving style. If high levels of g are typical, this is indicative of an
aggressive driving style.
